Professional Development Training
A little over a year ago, the CEO of one of the largest online training companies decided to launch a new program aimed at increasing the productivity of their employees. He wanted to find out how they could make Memory Training more effective in helping employees retain information. He wanted to know if he could use brain stimulation exercises, EEG Brain Mapping and brain surgery to help his workers remember and retain information better.
Based on the results of these tests and the success of the program so far, the results are positive and he is considering expanding his Memory Training program. There were a number of key findings.
The importance of Memory Training for employees is proven by research in several fields, from first year psychology students in America to recent undergraduates in Australia. In both studies, there were numerous positive results when participants completed an online Memory Training program and compared to a control group of students in a non-memory training group.
Memory training has been proven to not only improve memory and attention, but it also improves critical thinking and problem solving skills. It has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety.
There is also solid evidence that Memory Training, as part of an overall stress management plan, increases employee satisfaction and overall performance. This is a powerful combination and can be easily integrated into an existing executive management strategy.
More recent research has also revealed some of the reasons why stress is affecting corporate productivity, leading to major productivity problems and loss of profits. It seems that too much of a good thing is too much.
Stress is having a negative impact on workers' health. In fact, there are multiple stress related illnesses, like heart disease, high blood pressure, migraines, asthma, insomnia, panic attacks, sleep apnea, sleep disorders, high cholesterol and even cancer.
There is also proof that there is a direct correlation between memory training and job performance. Cognitive skills training and brain stimulation improved cognitive performance in some studies.
Further proof of the effectiveness of Memory Training comes from the findings that even employees who had a stroke did not get worse as a result of their stroke. This provides further evidence that Brain Mapping and memory training can lead to increased performance.
Executive managers who are already focused on stress management and memory training are finding that they are improving productivity as well. This helps them achieve the benefits of cognitive training without losing focus on the important issues.
While all of this is positive, and even critical, it does not indicate the company will be able to provide the proper executive management training. However, it can certainly enhance the company's management training program, and an employee training program, to assist them in maintaining their executive level of performance.
The training sessions at most executive management programs are already designed around this work. The executive managers are already familiar with the recommended procedures and techniques, and that is why they could gain the greatest benefit from an executive management training program.
